“The Conversations book group is a great outlet for women to think deeply about Jewish issues, culture, history, and identity, and a wonderful vehicle to connect with great authors and other Jewish women in our community.” Leah Jacobson, Swampscott

The Foundation is pleased to serve as the organizer for the North Shore site of Hadassah Brandeis Institute’s Conversations Book Group. Conversations is not an ordinary book group. It is a positive and memorable Jewish experience for women, facilitated by visiting book authors. Every meeting begins with social time for women to relax, catch up with old friends, and make new ones. Following the conversation with the author about her book, the evening concludes with a book signing.

Registration is now open for the 2011 season of Conversations. Meetings will take place on Monday evenings, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Woodbridge, 240 Lynnfield St. Peabody, on the following dates:

June 27 Muriel’s War by Sheila Isenberg

September 19 Tolstoy Lied by Rachel Kadish

HBI’s fee is $180, which includes books and conversations with authors.

Space is limited. Checks should be made payable to Hadassah Brandeis Institute and mailed to the Lappin Foundation, 29 Congress St., Salem, MA 01970.

For more information or to register, please call Susan Feinstein at 978-740-4431 or email sfeinstein@rilcf.org.
