The Foundation partners with Hebrew College to bring its highly acclaimed Early Childhood Institute to the North Shore.

Hebrew College’s Early Childhood Institute integrates the study of Judaism with early childhood education, presenting developmentally appropriate methods for teaching young children about Jewish values, traditions and culture. ECI provides support and guidance for teachers, furthering their Jewish knowledge and understanding of this foundational stage of Jewish education.

Courses on the North Shore are free and open to early childhood educators in any of the community’s Jewish schools.

Fall 2011 Schedule

Course:            Hebrew Celebrations II

Instructor:             Sigalit Davis

Classes meet on Monday evenings, from 7-9 p.m. on the following dates:

October      3   17    24            at the North Suburban JCC, 83 Pine St., Peabody

November  7  21                        at Congregation Shirat Hayam, 55 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott

Early Childhood Institute is open to educators who teach in any of the Jewish schools in the Foundation’s service area, and is a free program of the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, which sponsors programs that are helping to keep our children Jewish. Early Childhood Institute is made possible by a generous allocation from the Jewish Federation of the North Shore.
